| After over two hours of driving we finally reached Yokahama Bay. Yokes is a pristine, isolated beach hideaway. For some reason today though we had company. It looked like a paddling regatta was taking place. Flags were stretch across a good portion of the beach, white canopy tents stood firmly behind them. I looked at Tingey and told him that they better not have shut down the beach, not after all we went through to get out here. I knew it wasn’t a regatta, I skipped paddling practice to come out here, aside from that regattas were on Sunday’s. What the hell was it? As we got closer we noticed cameras, crew, and trailers. It wasn’t a regatta, they were filming a movie of some sort. |

| As we pulled up to Second Dips it was easy to see that Yokes was firing. It was clean with good shoulder high waves ripping through and at least overhead outside. The tide must have been over two feet because the wash from the waves was reaching some 20 yards beyond the shore brake all the way back to the vegetation. As we made our way to the shoreline we notice another skimmer off in the far right distance. After a few minutes he meandered over to us, asking if we were from the website. |
